Bible Verses for Students Before Exams
“Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.”
— Proverbs 16:3 (NIV)

Finals week. The board exam you have been reviewing for since graduation. The entrance test your whole family keeps asking about. Whatever exam is in front of you, it can feel as if your future is riding on a single morning.

Before you open your notes again, bring the whole thing to God: "Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and he will establish your plans." Committing your work to Him does not replace studying. It changes who you are studying for, and who carries the outcome.

If a topic still feels impossible, James offers an honest prayer: "If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you." Without finding fault — not even for the readings you put off until this week.

And Paul gives a gentle frame for every review session: "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord." Your best effort is an offering, whatever the score.

Remember that your worth was settled long before any exam result. Pass or retake, you are still loved, still called, still His. So sleep, eat, drink water, and ask a classmate or someone at home to pray with you.

On the morning of the test, write Proverbs 16:3 at the top of a page and pray it once more. Then breathe, and begin.
